Sponsor a fraternity BBQ! - It's summertime, registration for Birthright is about to open and you have some money left in your budget. Why not sponsor a barbecue for one of the major fraternities. You will be able to give out fliers, make an announcement and promote your upcoming trip. Another reason this is a great idea is because you will develop a strong relationship with the team leading the fraternity which can only yield great results in the future,
Co-opt the president - Why not co opt the President on to your support team. If you have an events committee or want to delegate some responsibility why not approach the president of a major Jewish fraternities and empower them to get involved. If they too are a Birthright alumnus they are likely to appreciate the value in what you do.
Offer an influential person a role as Birthright staff - Assuming they have the qualities that are needed it could be a strategically sound move to invite a senior fraternity member to apply as a staff position. If they have the necessary skils, they will feel empowered to help you recruit and hopefully get the word out to more students.
Offer them a speaker about Israel - Why not offer key fraternities a great speaker about Israel. If you have speaker coming anyway, why not offer them an exclusive talk by the speaker too. This can help generate good will and also spark interest in Israel for students on campus. You can ask to have flyers on display at this talk as well and even ask the speaker to make a plug for you.
An exclusive Greek Life bus - It has happened before that a Birthright bus has been made up largely of Greek Life members. How awesome would that be for a fraternity to be able to travel to Israel together? Why not approach the Jewish fraternities and ask what they think. All you need is 45 people and you've got it. You can even ask the president to staff with you and make it an even stronger recruitment partnership. You can make an exclusive Birthright – fraternity T shirt as well!
